The brutal public murder of Suhas Shetty has sent shockwaves across coastal Karnataka, stirring outrage and grief among locals and leaders alike. MP Captain Brijesh Chowta, addressing the media, condemned the heinous act and called it a deep wound inflicted on the region. Drawing parallels with previous attacks, Chowta asserted, "This is not the first—nor is it new. Every time Congress comes to power, our region sees a rise in targeted killings of Hindu Karyakartas." He further pointed to similarities with the 2022 murder of BJP youth leader Praveen Nettar, citing a repeated pattern and alleged involvement of radical outfits like the banned Popular Front of India (PFI).

MP Captain Chowta criticized the Congress-led state government's record of inaction in such cases and demanded swift central intervention. In a formal appeal to Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, he requested the case be transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for a full, uncompromising probe. "Justice must be done," he declared, "and it must send a clear message—Bharat will not tolerate such forces." The demand has sparked fresh debate over law and order in Karnataka and the alleged resurgence of extremist elements targeting Hindu activists.
