Mangaluru: Senior BJP leader and former Karnataka state president Nalin Kumar Kateel has lauded the Union Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it a "pro-people and pro-farmer" budget. He highlighted the special emphasis given to farmers, youth, and women in the financial plan. One of the key announcements includes raising the income tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakh, which he believes will provide significant relief to the middle class. Kateel also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Sitharaman for their efforts in ensuring an inclusive budget.

Speaking further, Nalin Kumar pointed out the significance of the "Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana," a scheme aimed at the development of agricultural districts. He emphasized that the government's plan to collaborate with states and include 100 districts in the initiative would be highly beneficial for farmers. According to him, this initiative reflects the Modi government's commitment to rural growth and agricultural advancement.
