Middle East Crisis Forces Flight Cuts: Air India Express Halts One Dubai Service from Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Air India Express has suspended one of its two daily flights—IX 813/IX 814—to Dubai from Mangaluru International Airport between June 17 and June 30, citing operational constraints. The temporary suspension, attributed to airspace closures over Israel, Iran, Iraq, and Jordan amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, has slashed weekly flights on the Mangaluru-Dubai route from 18 to 11. While this has caused a dip in connectivity, IndiGo continues to operate its scheduled four weekly flights to Dubai. The wider regional conflict has triggered flight reroutes and cancellations across key global corridors, severely disrupting air traffic between Europe, Asia, and West Asia.
