Mangaluru has the potential to become a key location for hosting an energy security summit, according to Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Speaking at an event in the city, Puri highlighted the strategic importance of Mangaluru, noting its growing infrastructure and vital role in the energy sector. He emphasized that the region's energy resources and infrastructure, such as its refineries and ports, could make it an ideal venue for global discussions on energy security. Puri also praised the city’s growing influence in the energy market, pointing to its central position in India’s energy future.


During his visit, Minister Puri also offered advice to Member of Parliament Captain Brijesh Chowta, urging him to leverage Mangaluru’s potential in the energy sector and advocate for the city’s role in international dialogues. Puri stressed the importance of proactive steps in improving local infrastructure and increasing energy security to align with national and global objectives. His remarks were a call to action for both local leaders and stakeholders to work collaboratively towards making Mangaluru a key player in energy security discussions.
