Karnataka Leads Nation in Vehicle Test Tracks, Eyes Full Automation Across Districts

Mangaluru: Karnataka has emerged as the state with the highest number of vehicle test tracks in India, with the government now aiming to set up fully automated driving test centres in every district, announced Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy.
Speaking at the inauguration of a state-of-the-art electronic vehicle driving test track near Kambalapadavu on July 13, the minister revealed that the Rs 7-crore facility was built in response to strong public demand. “Similar automated tracks have already been established in Dharwad, Koppal, Dandeli, and three other locations.
Work is also underway in Belagavi, Raichur, Devanahalli, Kolar, Hospet, Ballari, Vijayapura, and more,” he added, emphasizing the government's commitment to modernizing transport infrastructure across Karnataka.
