Grand Maha Brahmakalashotsava of Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple

Kaup: The consecration of Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple in Kaup reached its spiritual zenith with the grand Maha Brahmakalashotsava on its ninth day, drawing thousands of devotees in an atmosphere of deep religious fervor. The Maha Brahmakalashabhisheka, conducted under the guidance of Vedamoorthi K G Ragavendra Tantri and assisted by Vidwan K P Kumaraguru Tantri, was the highlight of the event.

The rituals commenced at 8 AM with Mangala Ganayaga, Shambhavi Kalamatrukaradhanam, Kalaratri Kalamatrukaradhanam, and Mandalacharanam, culminating in the divine Kalasha Abhisheka of Goddess Mariamma. A sacred touch was added as holy water (Ganga Jal) from Haridwar, consecrated during the Kumbha Sankramana Purnima on February 12, was used for the ritual. The temple premises, adorned with vibrant floral decorations, witnessed a sea of devotees, exceeding 50,000, seeking blessings and participating in the grand celebrations.

Adding to the grandeur, 1,008 Kalashas were distributed, including a gold-engraved silver Brahmakalasha, silver Brahmakalashas, and copper Kalashas. On this auspicious occasion, K Vasudev Shetty was honored with the title ‘Rajarishi’ by Vidwan K P Kumaraguru Tantri. The book Mariamma, authored by Navaneeth Shetty, was also released. The event saw the participation of notable dignitaries, including Actress & MP Kangana Ranaut, MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, and Udupi deputy commissioner Dr. K Vidya Kumari. Actress Pooja Hegde, accompanied by her family, graced the ceremony, offering prayers to Goddess Mariamma. Following the sacred rituals, devotees were served Prasadam, marking the culmination of this spiritually enriching celebration. K Vasudev Shetty, president of the Kaup Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple Development Committee (R), expressed his gratitude, attributing the successful organization of the event to divine will and the unwavering devotion of the temple's followers.
