Mangaluru: Hitting back at the BJP’s assertion that the Congress-led government in Karnataka would collapse within three months, Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao dismissed the claim as nothing more than a “thief’s dream.” Speaking to the media, Rao said, “The people have already sent them home. Our party remains stable.” Questioning the BJP’s credibility, he quipped, “If there’s a mosquito in our plate, there’s a snake in theirs. Let them first worry about saving their own house.”

Rao also revealed that senior Congress leader Randeep Surjewala will soon meet all party MLAs across the state to gather their opinions and resolve internal differences. On the issue of alleged corruption in house allotments, he challenged the BJP to present evidence and reiterated the Congress government’s commitment to fight corruption.
