In a major push to India’s startup ecosystem, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a new Fund of Funds for Startups with an additional ₹10,000 crore infusion, doubling the government’s existing contribution. This initiative aims to accelerate innovation, empower budding entrepreneurs, and strengthen India's position as a global startup powerhouse. Additionally, a special scheme will be launched to support 5 lakh first-time entrepreneurs from women, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, ensuring inclusive growth and economic upliftment.
Further strengthening India's entrepreneurial vision, the government is set to make India as a global hub for toy manufacturing. The initiative will focus on developing toy clusters, enhancing skills, and boosting the manufacturing ecosystem to produce high-quality, innovative, and sustainable toys under the Made In India brand. This move is expected to create new opportunities for artisans, MSMEs, and startups, driving job creation and fostering indigenous production. With these bold steps, Bharat is marching towards a self-reliant, innovation-driven future.
