New Delhi: In a significant stride towards self-reliance in defence, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has approved 10 key procurement proposals worth approximately ₹1.05 lakh crore. All procurements will be sourced domestically, underlining India's firm push for Atmanirbharta in defence production.

The green-lit proposals include a wide range of critical systems such as Armoured Recovery Vehicles, advanced Surface-to-Air Missiles, state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare Systems, and an Integrated Common Inventory Management System for the Tri-Services. According to the Defence Ministry, these acquisitions are designed to bolster mobility, enhance air defence, improve logistics efficiency, and ensure superior operational readiness for the Indian armed forces.
