Farangipete residents staged a flash protest on Thursday, demanding swift action from the police to trace 17-year-old Diganth, who has been missing since February 25. Diganth, son of Padmanabha from Kidebettu, was a second-year PUC student in Mangaluru. He had left home that day to visit the Anjaneya temple but never returned. His footwear and mobile phone were later discovered near a railway track close to his residence, raising serious concerns about his whereabouts. With no leads in sight, the community has grown increasingly frustrated over the lack of urgency in the police investigation.

Angered by what they claim is police inaction, locals have warned of a bundh in Farangipete on March 1 if the authorities fail to locate the missing boy. Residents allege that the police have not taken the case seriously, prompting their demand for a more aggressive search operation. The protest saw a significant turnout, with people urging officials to intensify efforts before the situation escalates further. As anxiety mounts, all eyes are now on the authorities to deliver answers and bring Diganth back home safely.
